Michele Davenport is deeply involved in missions and community outreach, teaching and bringing encouragement in the Greater Kansas City area as a part of Faith Builders Ministries.  Michele is currently ministering in the women's prison in Leavenworth Kansas. She teaches life lessons which can be found in personally authored books "Ripened on the Vine" and "Choices are for the Living."

 Michele has recently partnered with Daughters of Destiny and Prison Fellowship. These valued partners affords her even more opportunities to travel the country and share her testimony.  The Lord has given her a unique way to share her story.   Similar to that of Joshua 4, she carries each stone of her past across her “Jordan into the “promised land” God has promised to her.  Her oft-repeated and personal revelation of Mark 11:25 "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins" becomes the revelation of all as she stacks her faith-building stones. The last stone is her mother’s tombstone and by far the heaviest she’s ever carried but with God's mercy and grace she is seeing the promises of God come to pass.  

Her message is two-fold. Forgive and move forward making right choices. Her perspective on Noah, post-flood, reminds us that even though all appears lost, Noah and his family were not. Recounting the tragedy of the flood and the significance of the  ark ending up on a mountaintop, Michele takes the opportunity to step into Noah’s story and to peer into what Noah’s mindset may have been when he saw the devastation.. Her insight for the biggest storm ever recorded takes her audience on the journey to an unexpected reality. After the “inventory process” Noah built his altar of praise to the Lord.  Her personal journey has also led Michele to an “inventory process.” As she lays her family portrait upon the altar …with everyone in her family, her dad, mom, and brother have all died, she refuses to take inventory of what was lost but chooses to look at what He chose to save…herself.  Today, she makes her life count for His Glory and she knows that “Choices Are For The Living.” Our Missions & Outreach guiding Scripture is Matthew 25:34-46 (ESV Translation)
