Jesus says in Ephesians 4:32 that we should be kind and tenderhearted and forgive one another, as God in Christ forgave you. For more than 12 years Terry was an ECPA Gold Medallion judge in the fiction category. He has written extensively about Christian fiction and reviewed numerous fiction books in publications such as Faithful Reader.com and BookPage. For over five years, Terry was an acquisitions editor in the book divisions of David C. Cook and Howard Books.
A former literary agent, now Terry is an acquisitions editor at Morgan James Publishing.

Teena Myers drove an hour one way to attend the Southern Christian Writers Guild on the Northshore of New Orleans for a decade. Then, a church friend asked if she would start a writing group on the west bank of New Orleans. Her church allowed her to hold three monthly meetings to test the interest. The meetings had fifteen in attendance, slightly larger than the meetings on the Northshore. She wasn’t sure where they would meet. Until she walked into the Gospel Bookstore, carrying a flyer advertising the formation of a Christian writing group. The owner of the bookstore invited Teena to meet in the store, a perfect setting for Christian writers. November 2017, she formed a board, and they adopted By-laws. They held the first official meeting January 2018 in the Gospel Bookstore.
God blessed SCW with a radio broadcast on Christian Mix 106 in 2023. Pursue Your Passion’s hosts, Rory and Teena Myers, have interviewed over 100 people about their passion in life. August 2025, Pursue Your Passion was retired. Voices of Inspiration takes its place September 8, 2025.
